Enkoder knob with led. Today, we're making a small modification to the encoder knob. We'll add LED backlighting using 80mm flexible blue LED filament. The knob measures 30x30x17mm.KnobThe first layer is 0.16mm, and each subsequent layer is 0.08mm.I used two colors here: white and dark silver, but you can use your own color. The white needs to remain so the LED light can shine through.led holder0.16 and 0.08mmThe flexible LED filament will fit snugly into the filament; no glue is needed.toolThis tool will help you align the LED holder evenly with the encoder hole.It will also help you mark the locations where you'll need to drill holes for the LED cables in the existing housing. Here's how I installed the Knob with FLEXIBLE LED.1. Removing the encoder.2. Using a tool, check the LED holder to make sure it's centered on the encoder hole.3. Mark the locations for the wire holes.4. Cutting or drilling the holes. I used a soldering iron set to 190 degrees.5. After cleaning
