Rotary Encoder KY-040 standoffs

I'm making a project with a rotary encoder. It would not be impossible to imagine someone getting angry smashing their fist down on top of the encoder. I wanted some more support than just the nut at the top. I couldn't find anyone else who had done this and there are 2 perfectly available holes on the side of the board. Lots of trial and error got me the 3 holes in alignment. A couple little screws and that encoder is LOCKED down.
