I have been working on this project for a while.
This newer version of the gear system had some adjustments from the last version. These adjustments are minor improvements but also add a feature(dual rod system). A dual rod system can benefit pumping mechanisms because one side pumps in while the other pumps out.
The dual is still nog perfect. (like most of the things)
With my print, there is some friction between the rod(s) and the rode slider. However, I didn't use any lubrication.
The NEMA 17 motor could move a single rod gear system but, it doesn't have much strength. A gearbox may be necessary or a more powerful engine.
Assembly is straightforward.
A.However, keep in mind that the big gear M3 holes are in the middle of the inner gear M5 holes. (sie foto withe black arrows)
B.The big gear M3 nut holes should point to the gear holder.
It is a modular system so, what you need depends on how you build it.
Thingiverse didn't like the way the text I had made. I
