Hi,
I designed a hamster wheel, which is very very
filigree, but has very low mass inertia ;) :-D
My most attention layed on:
It should be closed on one side to not break any hamster feet.
It should be round like a bowl for keeping the hamster inside while it is running.
It should have some rips to avoid slip.
It should be mountable on a 608 zz bearing
It should be smaller than regular wheels
It should be so lightweight, that the hamster can stop up anytime without getting thrown through the hole Cage.
key data:
- 150 mm inner diameter
- mounting for 608zz bearings
- wall thickness 1.5 mm
- ~8 h printing
- I used 5% infill but I think more would lead to better results
So here it is. I printed it in ABS which is not necessary, but I tried to test whether I fixed my warping problems. (And it worked with some aceton-abs mixture attached on the surface of the bed).
I think PLA would lead to more stiffness. Because ABS as it is right now seems to be very flexy. Bu
