I needed a little stud finder that I could use against a popcorn ceiling. I wanted a mini tool to hold a small round magnet as it was challenging just holding onto the magnet while scanning the ceiling for a stud. Also works great using a thread and swinging the magnet back and forth against a wall. I inserted 2 magnets in my tool to increase the attraction.
