Royal Chess Set

Simple chess set I designed.

Made for chess board squares that are 30 - 40 mm square, but they can be scaled for any size board (base of each piece is 20 mm in diameter).

Pieces all have a hole in the bottom for weighting, I designed it to hold three M4 hex nuts screwed onto an M4 x 10mm bolt and just glued in with epoxy resin.

For colouration I printed all the pieces from white PLA and painted the black and gold with acrylic paints, this was then finished with a clear enamel sealer.

Gluing some felt on the bottom was the final step.

Also the knight is a duck because I like ducks :)
