There is a saying that anyone posting to Thingiverse will eventually make a space marine. So this is mine, I guess.

This is supposed to be a s close as possible to the original RTB-01 plastic backpacks. There are others here, but none that actually look very much like the 1987 classic, so I took it on myself to give it a go, and got quite close, I think.

There are two versions (and each of those one with and without supports), one with a low hole for attaching to the older metal models, those made up to about 1991, and one with a higher hole that should fit those made after that- possibly even modern ones.

This is the first step in creating an actual, complete marine to catch the aesthetic of the eighty's rouge trader -much like the brother Blake model that can be found on-line- but not a slavish recreation of an actual model.
