I really like the original rubber band triangle board game. And there is nothing wrong with using rubber bands for it at all. It just seems to have a few disadvantages compared to 3d printed parts. Rubber bands dry out pretty fast, get brittle and break. They will have to be replaced once in a while.Rubber bands put stress on the pins of the board. Not a lot, and most of the times equalized in different directions, but if a pon breaks you will have to print the whole board again. Rubber bands are thicker than the 3d printed parts. Duriong a game the rubber bands can stack so high on the pins that they are prone to flicking all over the room.You might not have rubber bands at hand, but you dams sure got a 3D printer!I, very subjectively, like the clean look pf the ptinted parts betterSo I just took a few minutes to design those parts, that connect and mark 4 pins on the board in just the same manner the rubber bands do.
