My handle for my Rubbermaid toolbox / step stool broke (model 7768). This is my favorite toolbox I have moved to an island where similar replacements are very expensive. I think this model has even been discontinued. I just got a 3D printer and this is my first solo design. There is the handle part, then legs that go down to feet which have the protrusions (nibs) needed to fit into the box lid. The legs to the handle needed to be flexible enough so I could widen the gap between feet enough to get the nibs inserted. But then you need something to keep the nibs from slipping out when you lift, and that is what the side spacers are about. I printed three heights and ended up using the 8 mm (tallest) ones. I used double sided tape to attach side spacers to the feet of the handle after it was installed in the lid. I tested this a bit, but worry about the strength of the legs and their connection to the handle and feet. So definitely the design could be improved. Printed in Bambu PLA on PS1,
