Rudy: Final Edition (V3)

Rudy the Really Rude Robot is a proximity sensing robot that responds to proximity by rotating its face away from proximity while flashing a NeoPixel RGB LED strip and playing various sounds. Rudy is based on an Arduino Nano clone and uses a GA12-N20 DC motor, an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor, and an active tone generator.

While Rudy V1 features a printed shell, Rudy V3 (and V2) uses a cast acrylic lamp shade. The lamp (

) was purchased at a local Home Depot; identical lamps under different brand names can be found online. Rudy's lower chassis is designed to screw into pre-existing threaded holes in this lamp's shade. All other electronics from the lamp are not used as part of this project.
