Rugged waterproof position servo. My own design (not reverse engineered), not built yet. Design goals (which are likely to be met): -Power: 70 - 100W -Supply: 12VDC, peak current: 20A -Waterproof, can be pressure washed -Corrosion resistant -Travel: +/- 120deg, can rotate 360deg -Speed: 700 - 1000deg/Sec, which is about 0,07Sec/60deg -Torque: about 10Kgf @10cm (1Nm) -Control: -RS485 (CANbus-like) network, 30 or more units, up to 1000m distance -RC style PWM (1mS -2mS), either directly via wire or via network Intended for things like: -Marine diesel engine throttle control -Marine propulsion gear control -Valve control etc. It is not designed for cheap mass production, machining from solid is much too expensive for that, it is more suited for one-offs or high-value applications where cost-no-issue The model: It consists of 5 major subassemblies (a STEP file for each) and there is a good number of small parts in this thing, suggest converting one assembly at a time, and dropping its parts into the same folder as the STEP file. At least this goes some way to avoid major casing parts, bearing balls etc. in a big heap.
