Ryobi Battery Post for Toolgrid

This model is a battery stud post for mounting vertical power tools to the Toolgrid compatible baseplates. The post is designed to be screwed to the Toolgrid compatible baseplates. As the tools will be drawer mounted they only need to held in the vertical position by the battery post and do not need a full base (battery top) to clip onto, like they would if hung or wall mounted. The weight of the tool itself keeps the tool it in place. If the grip between tool and battery post is to high then the baseplates can tend to be lifted up when removing the tool (especially a problem with a low tool count). As tools are also unpowered they do not need to have a high clamping force onto the terminal area. Checking against multiple power tools the terminal spring clamping force varies with the type of tool. The most force is applied in hammer drills followed by drill/drivers. As such the model resembles the Ryobi battery post but with slightly altered dimensions to accommodate easy lift off. I p
