My tools live on a slope, and I didn't like the battery-hole-as-mount system so I made my own holder for several of the Ryobi tools.
I use 1+5/8" deck screws (much the same as sheetrock screws) to mount the plate. Here is an STL file with the countersunk screw holes and without any screw holes so you can spin it your way.
I don't use the paint stripper tool very often, so I didn't make a bracket capable of holding the stripper with battery attached. That would have necessitated a much more robust bracket.
The paint stripper gun is great for heat-shrink to protect wire splices and to waterproof connections.
