An adapter for adding tabs to non-tabbed saddles - to enable the use of more traditional saddle bags.
These tabs are present on many leather saddles by default.
There are two versions of the mount: a 3D printed version & a Machined version. The 3D printed version has more material to cope with its weaknesses - I would only put very light, small bags on it.
Hardware required:
- 2 M5 x 25 mm bolts: longer depending on your saddle rail diameter, which is probably standard
- 2 M5 locknuts, 5.2 mm width, 8 mm height
Thanks to Timo Wories over at GrabCAD for the wonderful saddle model (https://grabcad.com/library/vnt-saddle-1).
Also inspired by the Hobo Restuvus mount (http://www.hobopieces.com/product/the-restuvus). Pictures of that one are included above for reference.
The slot width, diameter, & spacing were referenced from a Velo Orange leather saddle I have.
