Safe Distance

Sketch of a bicycle light that extends outward giving more space between cyclist and traffic. Flexible arm makes it more durable and visible - light moves more when you pedal. Good to use with children's seat or trailer - car drivers see a solid, blinking object extending from the bike making them navigate around that not around you. Long time ago I had a bike reflector with an extension and it worked like a charm, cars made a wider pass. Unfortunately it is not in production for a decade or more.
