Safe-T-Sparkler Holder

Sparklers can be fun for little kids but they can become scared of wire sparklers that shoot sparks close to their hands, and then drop them while they are still burning. I wanted an design whereby parents can install sparklers securely into these holders that would make it easier for kids to hang on to instead of trying to hold small thin sparkler wires.

There are 3 pieces that make up these sparkler holders; The holder, the Guard, and the Thumb Screw that tightens on the small part of the wire that doesn't burn. The Guard is thin and flexible (with PLA Filament), and goes over the holder end with the small hole, and the guard frame can be seated against the holder frame and glued into place. I used Gorilla Glue, but any kind of plastic glue for PLA will work.

Please note that sparklers burn very hot (somewhere between 1200-1600 degrees C). No plastic will stand up to those temperatures, so sparklers should always be securely inserted with standard length wire handles making sure t
