Sand Bed Coral Plug

This cage is designed for securing soft coral frags that have come loose or are freshly fragged. The side cutouts create an ideal low flow environment to help with recovery and attachment. Add some loose rubble inside and bury the base of the cage under the sand. The lid has openings that allow light to reach the frag while maintaining a semi tight fit. This is to discourage those impatient peeps! An earlier version was designed to accommodate frag plugs; however, testing showed that corals tend to attach and grow more quickly on loose rubble than on plugs.
