Scale RC Gate for Crawling / Gatehouse

Build your own scale RC crawler gate for a gatehouse. Target 1:10th size but works with others as well. This project requires skills with microcontroller builds (e.g. Arduino, ESP32 etc), programming and assembly. A tiny ESP32 (yes overkill) inside the base has a motion sensor that, after a second or so, detects the presence of an object (crawler in this case) in front of it, lifts the gate, then closes once clear. Also has a feature to have the gate stay up (but where's the fun in that!?). It's powered by a standard 5V USB power bank (one of those small single cell ones work fine).
