Here is a fun demonstration of the thought experiment created by Erwin Schrödinger. It is designed to illustrate a paradox of quantum superposition. A hypothetical cat may be considered both alive and dead simultaneously because its fate is linked to a random event that may (or may not) occur. Our random event is dropping the coin in the slot, and shaking vigorously. Before you open the box, the state of the cat is unknown. Only by observing the coin do you determine its position.
