Scientia Totem

Scientia Totem Scientia Totem is a fictional sculpture inspired by ancient tribal totems, reimagined around the figures who profoundly transformed our understanding of the universe. This work envisions a forgotten civilization where scientific knowledge was considered sacred, passed down through carved pillars dedicated to the spirits of wisdom and discovery. The totem brings together Isaac Newton, symbol of the fundamental laws of motion and gravity; Nikola Tesla, embodiment of energy, electricity and innovation; and Albert Einstein, representing the mysteries of time, space and relativity. Their vertical arrangement evokes an ascent of human knowledge — from the observable laws of physics to the understanding of the universe’s most complex phenomena. The intentionally simplified and geometric forms recall ancient ritual sculptures, with strong volumes designed to preserve instantly recognizable identities while creating a powerful sculptural presence. The result is a fusion of ancestral tribal art and modern scientific heritage, as if these three geniuses had become protective deities of a civilization devoted to knowledge.
