Scissor Katar

I'm constantly looking at bizarre and fantastical weapons that actually existed in history, and the Katar has been a favorite of mine for quite a while.
Then I stumbled upon an even more bizarre idea: The Scissor Katar. Essentially, the main blade spreads open to reveal another underneath, allowing for three bladed impact points.

Probably not very useful in battle, but it was such an interesting concept and a great engineering challenge that I had to try.

In the end, I wound up with a very satisfying, fully functional Scissor Katar prop, and I couldn't be happier. The "scissor" action is activated by squeezing the handle, and springs will automatically close the blades once pressure is released.
