SCREW JACK

The BASE FRAME supports the entire jack and provides stability during lifting. The LEAD SCREW is a threaded shaft that translates rotary motion into linear motion for lifting. The NUT (usually a worm gear nut) engages with the lead screw to allow controlled movement. The WORM GEAR transfers input torque from the handle to rotate the screw. The HANDLE or crank applies manual torque to operate the mechanism. Component Names & Basic Specifications: BASE FRAME – Made of cast iron or steel; heavy-duty support structure. LEAD SCREW – Acme-threaded steel rod, typical diameter: 20–40 mm. NUT – Bronze or steel material; fits screw thread size precisely. WORM GEAR – Steel or phosphor bronze, 20:1 or 40:1 gear ratio. HANDLE – Detachable/rotatable; length: 250–400 mm for torque leverage.
