This is a kit to make a raised platform in the style of Sectors Mechanicus and Fronteris. In wargaming terms, it's a hill!
When assembled, the top of this will be at 46.5mm. Maybe that sounds like a strange number to you - but there's a reason! Any pipe that rests on this (including, notably) the pipes that come off the bottom of SM components like the Ferratonic Furnace, will be able to extend off the platform at a midline height of 61mm. What that means is that you can then connect these pipes to midline pipe ports on other furnaces, incinerators, etc.
You can make it as small (!) as 183 x 183mm, or you can extend it essentially indefinitely. The one that I have made is 366 x 183mm.
Pitch between pillars (on straight walls) is 61mm. Width of the whole thing is in classic SM increments. Pipe ports around the edge have the standard 14.5mm midline height, so you can connect up your Thermic Plasma Conduits etc.
