Secutor Helmet – Roman Gladiator ArmorDescriptionThis model represents a Secutor gladiator helmet, one of the most iconic and function-driven helmets of the Roman arena.The Secutor (“the pursuer”) was specifically designed to fight the Retiarius, and this helmet reflects that role through its smooth, rounded profile and absence of protruding elements, minimizing the risk of entanglement.The defining features of the Secutor helmet are the compact, almost spherical shape and the small eye openings, offering maximum protection at the cost of visibility—an intentional trade-off that required discipline, stamina, and mental focus from the fighter.This reconstruction is historically inspired and carefully grounded, but it is also the result of my direct, hands-on experience as a full-contact gladiatorial combat fighter (see profile image).Having worn and tested similar equipment in real combat conditions, I focused not only on historical accuracy, but also on:realistic proportionsfunctional
