The Sega logo has undergone several changes since the company’s inception in 1946. The current logo was adopted on October 11, 1975, and features a blue wordmark with a white border. The font used in the logo is called Yagi Double, which was a common display face for the era. The wordmark underwent slight modifications in 1982, with the E being wider and the G and A being fused together. The logo has remained largely consistent since the early 1980s, surviving its entry into and eventual departure out of the home console market and becoming primarily a game publisher.
