I designed this over-engineered mounting mechanism to fix my tablet to the wall. The "Wall Part" is fixed to the wall (in my case using Tesa PowerStrips) while the "Tablet Part" is fixed to the thing you want to mount (in my case I glued it to a case for my Lenovo M11 tablet).
The compliant mechanism locks the "Tablet Part" into place when inserted from above. Pushing in the "Slider" retracts the "Locks" and allows you to remove the "Tablet Part" again.
Notes for slicing and printing and assembly:
- You'll need two "Locks", one of which will have to be mirrored
- When slicing the compliant mechanism parts, make sure the wiggly springy bits have two walls, so there is no seam between these springy bits and the more rigid bits. Otherwise, this would be a major weak point (see the slicer screenshot)
- When assembling, insert the "Slider" bit first. You'll ha
