Semi-permanent ball socket

Tried numerous ball sockets and have been disappointed with their ability to retain the ball under stress. You may want to start off just printing two to make sure your print settings are configured to prevent the posts from snapping. You want a light fill, 10 - 15%, to keep the flexibility of the material. The balls were designed to have the maximum level of friction with the socket, and to be able to withstand several pounds of weight before disengaging. They can also be printed with two teeth taken out for 90 degree bends (less grabbing power).

Default size is 33mm's tall, and 18.5mm's wide. The ball is 13mm.

Nylon would be the best material to print with, but most materials will work with the right print settings. If the ball-ends aren't providing enough holding power as a result of wear, they can be lightly sprayed with a hard coating, like polyurethane, to provide better friction.
