Shower Drain Screen

I made this replacement for the current drain screen, which was a perforated piece of sheet metal that kept coming loose. This replacement screen fits deep into the drain pipe. This keeps the screen in place and makes it very strong so that a person can step on it without cracking it. It also has two pegs on the bottom to fit the screw holes and these keep the screen from rotating and lifting up or rocking.

I printed it in PETg for water resistance. I have a lot of PETg things outside in the Florida sun and wetness. They hold up well so I think this should hold up in the shower.
