SHREDDER: ASCENDED is a heavily reworked, detail-focused remix of KitCrafters’ Origin Zero, designed collaboratively by me and my son Gabriel in Plasticity as an entry for the MakerWorld contest. This version was scaled to 200% of the original to intentionally unlock higher detail fidelity — allowing for aggressive armor spikes, deeper abdominal sculpting, and a more expressive, intimidating face. Significant changes include:A new, custom-designed leg extension component enabling a functional knee joint not present in the original modelExtensive tolerance re-engineering across multiple joints due to the increased scaleMultiple test iterations to ensure clean motion, strength, and reliable assemblyThe model prints:Zero supportsSingle color or multicolorCleanly and consistently at scale⚠️ Assembly & Safety NoteWhile the contest encourages no-glue assembly, I made the deliberate decision to glue the armor spikes. At this scale, friction-fit spikes — even well-tuned — can loosen over time.
