I purchased the early access version of Assetto Corsa Rally while on offer... and then realised that I was going to need a handbrake to take those hairpins with any momentum. It was time to see if I could use an xbox controller and a 3D printer to see if I could create something. The attached model is my initial version, and not the most attractive. That said, it does work and I'm happy with the performance. I used a 15mm pipe for the handle rather than printing one as I thought it would be stronger (and why print something if you have something else available.Parts used:- 300mm of 15mm diameter pipe (any suitable material will be fine e.g. wood, aluminium, etc..)- 40mm (or longer) M3 bolt with nut and washer- Elastic bandThere are also mounting holes on both sides of the holder to allow fixing to a rig.I'd be very interested to know how well this works for others, and please ping me any feedback on improvements.Enjoy.PS. I found that in Assetto Corsa Rally I had a couple of issues in setting up the Xbox controller to work. First change was to turn of Steam input device mapping as this stopped me from mapping the xbox trigger to the handbrake control. Next was setting Assetto Corsa Rally to wheel input rather than automatic. Finally, I change the handbrake settings to those shown in the picture (this may be due to it being an early access release.
