Yes, i bought one of those very nice big spools by a big filament brand for little money.
No, it did not fit on my ender's spool holder.
The spool i have is 100mm wide, i made the support a bit wider, just in case, the drum is sized to go through a 52mm spool hole.
There are smarter designs around for this kind of thing which include bearings but i had none around so i went the dumb route, printed it all in pla and greased the drum generously. It works well enough.
