This is my take on a simple coat hook. I designed it to be relatively sturdy and easy on the clothes I hang on it. It takes two about-4 mm diameter flat-head screws, with about-7 mm diameter heads.
To install, drill two holes in a door, to hold the hook. If you install the hook in a wall, make sure the screws fasten into a wooden stud. Tighten the screws just enough to hold the hook. Don't over-tighten, or the hook will eventually split vertically.
