My daughter fell in love with a little coffin shelf at the store, but they wanted like $35 for it. Nahβ¦ that's what printers are for! π€£ Drew up a standard-design coffin and split it in to four shelves. Made it max out the build plate for a single piece print - 11" (280mm) tall. Has a keyhole mount for a #6 (β
3.6mm) wood screw or drywall anchor. The whole thing was drawn up with FDM in mind so it prints smoothly with minimal travel and no void fill and is surprisingly strong as all walls are five lines thick. Plate 2 is an optional friction-fit lid with some tiny little retention bars. It's a tight fit so it'll stay snug. I'm also throwing in my profile for printing the lid on an effects plate, after several trial-and-error attempts at getting it to stick. Turns out βreally hot and really slow on the first layerβ was the trick.
