Simple Magnetic Stud Finders

These can easily locate studs behind drywall. The magnets attract to the drywall screws that are screwed into the studs. I prefer to use several of these at a time to locate multiple drywall screws and studs in the work area. I There are two designs included:Two 12mm x 3mm neodymium magnets.Three 12mm x 3mm neodymium magnets. Comments:The design includes a small hole to attach an optional string. After you find the stud, you can let the string hang down with a small weight to help align the stud's location. A metal threaded nut works well as a weight.I prefer to have the magnets slightly recessed into the plastic to help prevent the magnet from marking the painted wall.For best results, must use high strength magnets like neodymium.The magnets are designed to be press fit into the tool. You can also glue them.Depending on the setup of your printer and filament, you may need to slightly scale the design up or down a couple percent in the slicer to get the desired fit. Here is a YouT
