My first thing with OpenSCAD. I needed a simple pedestal for Alexander the Great http://www.thingiverse.com/derivative:50368 This one is 40mm, but if you edit some numbers in de scad-file, it's easy to scale somewhat. Just open the scad-file in a text-editor and have a look!

I cut a 3mm hole through the middle since I glued Alexander to a short piece of filament.

Some great and easy to read OpenSCAD tutorials: http://www.makerbot.com/blog/2012/11/08/openscad-design-tips/
