A simple sextant model with a minimum number of moving parts. FSM mirrors are recommended (3 mm thick), but regular mirrors will also work. All mirrors are glued (with double-sided tape or glue) to the appropriate mounts. The movable mirror has to be set with respect to the alidade so that the 0.0 indication is for horizontal measurements. When not used, the mount for the sunscreen (e.g., cut welding glass) can be hidden in the handle. The vernier gives an accuracy of 0.1 degrees or 6'. For less accurate printers recommended to use separate prints for vernier and alidade (files provided) or to print the scale on the paper and stick it on the limbus. Possibility to use threaded inserts or nuts. All holes for M3 screws.
