A 3D printed bookshelf design uses standard 2x4 wood that is 18cm long, 9.2cm wide, and 1cm thick, divided into four pieces to create a double wall-mounted bookshelf. The 3D printed parts are four pieces that are fixed together using wingnut bolts with a 5mm thread and 8.9mm head. The wood is mounted to the 3D printed frames using 3.5x30mm chipboard wood screws.
The design follows a minimal design with the intention of using as little material as possible. It's important to keep in mind that when using PLA prints for support structures, they are not as strong as ABS or other materials, and may have a tendency to warp or bend under stress. Therefore, it's recommended to use a higher infill density (around 50-70%) for support structures and to use a brim or raft to ensure proper adhesion to the build plate.
Additionally, supports should be placed strategically and removed carefully to minimize the risk of damage to the part, PLA prints are not as heat-resistant as ABS, so it's no
