NOTE: DO NOT USE THIS FOR ACTUAL LIFE SAFETY DEVICES! This is obviously a home-made box and is not suitable for use in an actual fire alarm system. Don't even think about it.
This is a back-box I made for a Simplex pull station which has been modified to work with an ESP32 board connected to Home Assistant. Specifically, I designed this for an ESP32 with a D1 Mini form factor. In this design, the ESP32 board is not held in place securely, so I used some Kapton tape to hold it down.
I've also included a fully parameterized Fusion 360 file in case you want to remix or otherwise modify the design.
For the bolts, I used the following parts:
Heat set threaded nuts: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VFZWWXY
Heat set soldering iron tips (compatible with Hakko FX-888D and others): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08B17VQLD
Metric bolt set: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07K141VFD
