Who doesn't know this situation? You are a steampunk engineer and are quickly in need of a sine or cosine calculation tool. This is where the Sine Calculator Machine comes in handy.
The idea for this machine is very original and I found it in the beautiful book by Thomas Püttmann .: if you mark a point on a circle and roll the circle inside a circle twice its size, the point will move along a straight line. The point can also be used to calculate the sine or cosine (details here).
I have created two versions of the Sine Calculator Machine . One version has more steampunk decor elements and is therefore a little more difficult to print. The other version ("simple") has a simpler design, but does the same thing.
