Single-Layer Visual Print Bed Leveling Assistance Calibration Pane

This thing is what I use to level my printer's printing bed when using filaments that aren't completely opaque at .2mm. This will print a .2mm thick '+' shape on the print bed that will be thinner where the build plate is too close to the nozzle, and thicker where it is too far away. The thinning will visible occur in a pattern leading towards the screw that needs to be tightened. If you notice multiple areas of thin application that are not connected to each other at all, it could indicate that your build plate is warping, that the build tak or other cover you are using is not level, or has not been applied properly, or that one of the rods moving the extruder carriage has been damaged.
