Sink drain spring clip alternative

This is a sleeve and cap that replaces the spring clip that holds the clevis strap to the pivot rod. The one under my sink would never stay on so I made something that would hold the strap in place but still be removable. These parts are made to fit a standard 4.78mm rod.

As these are precision fit parts it is highly recommended that you use calibrated filament using the system found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1037301

A pair of pliers can be used to provide a flat surface to tap against with a small hammer to slip the sleeve over the rod.
