I needed a key for a grandfather clock. I modified the original version by making the internal hole deeper and wider and made the bit (square protruding piece) the correct 3/16" square, and a tiny bit thinner. I also printed with 6 walls, which basically made it solid, and supports - laying down on its side, so that it would work. Opened the clock, but be gentle. If your lock was very easy moving, then this may work because it takes very little pressure to turn the lock. If your lock was stiff and hard to turn or rusted, then this may snap off inside the lock hole. BE CAREFUL. Printed in PLA and it was fine, but could be done in something more rigid or that new PLA Tough+. This was just something to get me by until a replacement metal key could be bought,
