It's that time of year again, when we have to make a lantern for Autumn Moon festival at the kid's school. This year the little one wanted it in the shape of a moon cake, but we compromised and settled on an octagon rather than a circle. Now, daddy, make it happen. Let's see, we have some extra bamboo BBQ skewers, about 3mm diameter. Now we just need some brackets to hold them together. A few minutes with Fusion360 and these are the result. The holes in the brackets are actually 3.5mm, may need some glue to hold them in. Print 16 of the 135 degree brackets for the double octagon ring, and 8 of the 90 degree brackets for the top & bottom cross pieces. Infill at about 20% should do nicely.
