(Flickering looks better in real life, sorry for potato quality).
The Skull Lantern was originally made to have a tea-light led candle put into the top, but I wanted to have an actual candle look to the display so I made this large candle insert which fits in the bottom of the lantern.
The shaft of the candle is a (crudely) resized, cropped version of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:376176 - I'm no artist so a shout out to jradcoolness for that one.
The base of the candle is in 2 parts and has discrete openings where you can put a switch, a micro USB socket for charging a battery, and a light dependant resistor.
There is enough room to fit an LIR2032 lithium-ion battery, a charging/protection board ( http://sparks.gogo.co.nz/1A-Single-Cell-Li-Ion-Charger---With-Protection-383.html - adjusted to reduce the charge current of cours
