Light panel holder to allow shooting flat frames without having to point the scope up to lay the light source flat.
I leave my scope in home or park position, aimed at the SCP in my observatory. I decided to make a holder that slides over the dew shield to support my Elgato key light so I can shoot flats at any time without having to open the observatory to point the scope upwards. It is designed in two parts so that it prints with no supports. Part A fits over the dew shield and has been tested to work at angles as low as about 10 degrees. I designed it to also be a loose enough fit that you could use a white t-shirt as well, although I only shoot flats with the Elgato panel itself. Part B is the bit that holds the light panel. In a test version I screwed them together (no glue), and that worked fine. In the final one I glued them together with CA (no screws) and that also works fine. I have added 3 versions of Part B to allow for differing thicknesses of light panel … one can
