After creating the sliding cases with locking function I had the idea to make a fidget toy with the same locking mechanism. The design is based on the slider buttons of modern graphic user interfaces. I made a lot of prototypes to get the best possible haptic feel/click for the slider button. There are 2 print profiles:One with colored button (the green area in the photos). You will need a AMS for this variant. One with single color button Note: The coloured button profile is printed with 2 plates for best quality, because the print by object mode doesn't allow a prime tower. Assembly: Overview 1. Put die Slider into the main body. Pay attention to the alignment! 2. Attach a key ring if you want. You can also do it after assembly but it is easier without the bottom plate. 3. Press the bottom plate on the main body. Add a drop of glue if needed. But it should not be necessary. Happy sliding 😉
