Sliding door track cleaner

I live in a desert, and during monsoon season the wind and rain drives a lot of dust and dirt into the track of my sliding door.

I used to use a flat head screw driver and/or a stiff brush to clean out the track. it took a lot of time and often left me with another mess to clean up.

after a little thought I figured out a better way. this tool is wide enough to fit in the track with very little room on either side. It scraps along the flat bottom and collects the dirt quite nicely.

When printing this tool I would recommend measuring the width of the track for your sliding door and then adjust the size appropriately. I have it sized for a 3/4" track. If you have a lot of dirt you can make it longer to increase the size of the cup in order to scoop more dirt up before having to emptying it.
