Slotted Angle Iron Cable Management AdapterThis adapter was created as a solution for my own desk setup—one of the many popular IKEA desk hack builds. I didn’t like the bowing in the middle of the tabletop, especially where my monitor sits, so I added a slotted angle iron underneath for reinforcement. It’s probably a bit over-engineered, but it gives the top extra support and keeps things sturdy. The next challenge was cable management. I wanted something clean and low-profile—ideally, something that would hide the wires without the need for bulky cable boxes or under-desk channels. Originally, I just zip-tied the cables directly to the slotted angle iron, but every time I had to move or replace a cable, it turned into a frustrating mess. So, I set out to design something more efficient—something that would reduce (or almost eliminate) the need for zip ties altogether.
