I always like to have a voltmeter in my cars to help monitor the battery and charging system health but the standard 2" gauges are hard to fit in most cars without blocking the view of other gauges or idiot lights.
I've been using those 1" size voltmeters mounted in a PVC elbow. I finally got around to being able to print ASA so I decided it's time to design a real mounting pod.
The bottom of the pod has a slight recess for double sided foam tape. I usually mount these on the steering column.
I usually solder the wires directly to the terminals and cover them with shrink tubing in order to keep the pod as shallow as possible for more mounting options.
There are 2 versions of the 4" and 6" radius bottoms. I lengthened the pods so there should be enough room to use crimp connectors if you are hesitant with soldering directly to the terminals.
Updated 7-1-25. I bought some new gauges to install and the terminals were longer than the old ones so the gauge wouldn't fit. I replaced
