Small Pet Door Wall Frame

This part allows the small "Ideal Pet Products Original Pet Door" to be installed in a wall rather than a door. The Ideal Pet door is a quality product with a vinyl flap and lock-out slide, and runs about $14 from many retailers. Out of the box, the door telescopes to 2", but this part extends the range to about 6" to 7".

We have placed our cat's litter box in the garage, and this passage allows him to move freely between the garage and the house. (Note the crate containing the litter box, which prevents our cat from escaping the house whenever the garage door is opened.)

The pet door telescopes a few inches, allowing this frame to adjust to your wall's depth. However, if more adjustment is required, the frame length can be stretched in most slicer software. I've also included the SketchUp file if more dramatic adjustments are needed.
